Irish Soda Bread

Estimated Cooking Time: prep 15 min/bake 1 hr
2 & 1/2 c flour
1/2 c sugar
1/2 t salt
1/2 t baking soda
1 & 1/2 t baking powder
1/4 c butter
1 & 1/4 c buttermilk
1 egg
1 & 1/4 c raisins
Sift dry ingredients together
Melt butter
Beat egg and buttermilk with the melted butter.
Mix wet and dry ingredients together.
Gently fold in raisins
Grease and flour 2 nine inch cake pans
Pour batter evenly into the pans.
Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour
