Well I endorse getting her out of there as fast as you can. People of any age need to feel emotionally safe and physically safe. Good for you I say.

#msg5918377StormChaser : You will have to fill out paperwork to withdraw her from public school even if you finish this year and do not go back in the fall. If you are planning on using the K12 program through Humble ISD remember you have to teach what they want you to teach. I personally would not go that route but I Homeschooled from the beginning. HEART is the biggest Homeschool group in Kingwood. If you join HEART they have information on all the other groups. Home Run Ministries holds classes 2 times a week at Kingwood Bible Church. The teachers are excellent! She will not miss out on anything~~~ Prom, Graduation, or just about any normal highschool activity there is. Mine graduated through HEART. #msg5918380lynnsgirl : The school counselor will most likely discourage homeschooling.
Just make sure whatever program you decide on, the credits will transfer to a school if you ever decided to. I had a student transfer in from homeschool and she had to repeat all her classes. I'm sorry you're in this situation.
Kittle reacted You could consider finishing her school via dual credits at Lone Star. They can graduate high school with an associate's degree - and then only have two years left to get a BA or BS. They also have an amazing honors college. It is a tight knit group - this is the route we took for my older kiddo and we are about to start with my younger kiddo.

Is it for high school? My daughter uses an accredited online school for her son, a junior. Next year, he is going to do dual credit through Lone Star College.
