I’m Coach Paula Tobey, a Certified Life and Health Coach, author, speaker, and Certified Peptide Practitioner serving the Kingwood community and women across the country. Through education, personalized coaching, and access to provider-led telehealth services, I help women better understand their bodies, explore their wellness options, and help
them make informed decisions about their health. My philosophy is simple: We should not have to settle for barely getting through the day when it may be possible to feel stronger, clearer, and more energized. Real health fuels real growth! Tell us a bit about your business. What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?
I help women create healthier lives by looking at the whole person—not just one symptom, one number on the scale, or one area of struggle. I began my wellness journey in 2010 after experiencing chronic migraines, joint pain, digestive issues, brain fog, and exhaustion. I earned my first holistic health coaching certification in 2016 and a second health coaching certification in 2019, and lastly my peptide certification last spring. My work also includes life and business coaching, writing books, holding workshops, speaking, community building, and peptide education.
Today, a central focus of my business is helping women learn about metabolic health, inflammation, hormones, healthy aging, and peptides. As a Certified Peptide Practitioner, I provide education and help clients connect with a provider-led telehealth platform offering medical oversight and access to qualified compounding pharmacies when appropriate. I do not diagnose or prescribe. My role is to help women ask better questions, understand their options, and feel supported throughout the process.
How did you decide to get involved in this line of work? How did the business get started?
For years, I struggled with symptoms that affected my energy, focus, comfort, and quality of life. I knew something
was not right, but I did not know where to find the answers and neither did the doctors at the time. As I learned more about nutrition, gut health, inflammation, and the connection between our daily choices and long-term wellness, my own health began to improve. That experience made me want to help other women become detectives in their own health journeys.
My interest in prevention also became deeply personal after losing my mother to pancreatic cancer in 2017, walking alongside my husband during his recent cancer treatment, and later receiving my own early-stage melanoma diagnosis. Those experiences strengthened my commitment to education, early detection, proactive care, and longevity.
Peptides became a natural extension of that work. I wanted to understand the science, safety, sourcing, and provider oversight so I could help women cut through the enormous amount of confusing information online.
Tell us a few things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
I am most proud of creating a space, my Facebook community called The Phenomenal Collective, where women can learn without feeling judged, pressured, or overwhelmed in.
I am known for taking complicated health information and translating it into everyday language. I want women to understand not only what an option is, but why it may matter, what questions they should ask, and how it fits into the bigger picture of their health.
My work is guided by my Phenomenal Framework of a healthy balanced lifestyle and its Five Foundations:
• Physical Health
• Emotional Health
• Educational Health
• Financial Health
• Spiritual Health
These foundations remind us that health is interconnected. If you are exhausted, inflamed, or unable to think clearly, it can affect your relationships, confidence, finances, faith, and ability to lead. I do not believe wellness should be approached as a quick fix. I often say, “I’m not only looking for healthy—I’m choosing longevity.”
What is your favorite part of running this business?
The people—always the people!
I love the moment when a woman realizes she is not lazy, broken, or failing. She may simply need better information, stronger support, or a different approach. When I see that light bulb go off that there are actually options available today to help her! It is incredibly rewarding to watch someone regain her energy, confidence, hope, and sense of
possibility. I also love connecting women with helpful resources and with one another. Community is a powerful part of healing and growth.Who is your ideal customer or client? Who do you serve best?
I work especially well with women who are doing a lot for everyone else but are beginning to realize their own health needs attention too and my favorite women to work with are the busy entrepreneurs.
Many of my clients are women in their 40s and 50s, entrepreneurs, leaders, caregivers, and mothers navigating concerns such as:
• Perimenopause and hormonal changes
• Inflammation and stubborn weight changes
• Low energy or poor sleep
• Brain fog and difficulty focusing
• Changes in strength or muscle mass
• Metabolic health and insulin resistance
• Healthy aging and longevity
• Confusion about peptides or GLP-1 medications
My ideal client is curious, ready to learn, and willing to take an active role in her wellness. She does not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. That is what education and coaching are for!
Can you tell us something about yourself as the business owner? What is your background?
Before becoming a coach, I was a teacher, and that background still shapes everything I do. I do not simply tell people what to do—I help them understand what they are doing and why.
I am a Certified Life and Health Coach, Certified Peptide Practitioner, author, speaker, and community leader. I have written two books. Becoming a Phenomenal Mom: 5 Steps to a Healthier Life and My second book is an anthology-
The Entrepreneur’s Guide to a Phenomenal Life and Business.I also lead the Phenomenal Collective, a community centered on helping women grow through the Five Foundations of health and wellness. In addition, I serve as a local director with the National Association of Christian Women Entrepreneurs.
My Christian faith is at the center of my life and leadership. I believe we are called to be wise stewards of our bodies, gifts, resources, and influence—and then use them to help others rise.
On a personal note, I am a wife, mother of two adult daughters, proud military-family member, cancer-prevention advocate, lifelong learner, and a woman who believes humor makes almost everything a little easier!
Are there any special promotions, annual sales, or special events that you’d like to mention?
I regularly offer complimentary educational workshops, community conversations, and “PepTalks with Paula” covering topics such as peptides, metabolic health, inflammation, hormones, longevity, and how to evaluate health information online. I also host workshops and gatherings through the Phenomenal Collective focused on physical, emotional, educational, financial, and spiritual health. Upcoming opportunities and community events are shared through my website and social media. Local organizations may also contact me about speaking, educational workshops, wellness programs, or collaborative events.
Is there anything else you’d like potential customers or clients to know about your business?
Peptides can be exciting tools, but they are not magic—and they should not replace nutrition, movement, hydration, sleep, appropriate testing, or medical care. I encourage women to be especially cautious about products sold online with disclaimers such as “for research purposes only.” If something is going into your body, you deserve to know where it came from, how it was prepared, and who is overseeing your care.
How do you see your business growing and improving over the next couple of years?
I see Coach Paula growing into a trusted local and national educational resource for women’s wellness, peptide education, and healthy longevity.
I plan to expand my workshops, speaking engagements, courses, practitioner education, and community collaborations. I also want to create more opportunities for women to access trustworthy information before they reach a health crisis. The long-term vision is bigger than a coaching business. I am building a movement that helps women care for their whole lives, lead from a place of health, and recognize their phenomenal potential.
