According to weather experts, the 2022 hurricane season forecast is expected to be a busy one. This news could potentially spell disaster for those living along the Northern Gulf Coast, from Texas to Florida.

With the Gulf of Mexico already warmer than average at this time of year, and the "Loop Current" - warm tropical water that is looping unusually far into the Gulf for this time of year, conditions look very similar to 2005, the year of the devastating Katrina storm.

The combination of the warmer temperatures and the Loop Current has the potential power to turn tropical storms into monster hurricanes.
