Drove through that area. So glad I had your warning. They better paint them with glow in dark paint. At night those will be dangerous.
I drove by there in daylight and they are dangerous. Couldn't see them until I was almost on top of them. Hopefully they will be more obvious soon. Now the number of traffic lanes around the school have been effectively reduced from 2 to one.
People will be merging a lot. In my opinion this will make the area more dangerous, not safer.

I'm not really sure but I believe no motorized transport is allowed on greenbelts . Can anyone give me correct info ?

When it floods you will not be able to see them as they will be underwater.
What are the cement barriers that are being placed in front of the new Foster Elementary School? Those look like an accident waiting to happen. There are 2 in front of the school and one on the corner.

#msg5988722TEXASGIRLMAMMA : They are for safety reasons. Just put the phones down and pay attention while you are in a school zone. If you notice they are mostly at corners. Keeps people from parking where they shouldn't. As for E bikes and E Scooters. These riders are doing a lot of unsafe moves with their bikes and scooters. You shouldn't be riding on the streets. These vehicles of sort do not have plates. And don't have insurance. They are quiet so people can not hear you coming near them in their cars. I observed a adult rider in one e bike he had a toddler on the bike with him. I turned off and he went on toward North Park. Children need to wear head Gear protection. I think the E bikes are cool and they appear to be a lot of fun. But where are the safety rules, where is the safe place to ride them where they are useful. Rules? I don't any one knows when they might be stopped by and officer. ONly after they have been responsible for an accident. I observed riders many children may 10 to 12 years old riding in and out of lanes in the parking lot at HEB on Kingwood Drive. Is there any way these riders ( children can enjoy their E bikes and be safe?) I assume they can ride on the greenbelt. Do we have classes so they might be able to ride to school safely on the E bikes? This is an important topic here in Kingwood for sure!
Large speed bumps, like on valley manner near the high school, would be better. They could have them on both sides to slow traffic

These are to slow down traffic in a school zone. As a parent of kids who walk to elementary school, I am all in favor for anything to get people paying more attention in traffic. Could they use some reflectors? Maybe a planter with some flowers on top top make it extra visible? Sure. But I'm all in favor.

How will traffic move when the center of the street is blocked during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up?
