We lost my favorite pear tree and fence line, also power. Lucky to have a generator to power a small window ac unit, the fridge and freezer so we didn't lose any food. But my saddest moment was when I watched my favorite backyard shade provision, split in 3 parts and tear down my fence. Feeling absolutely helpless because I knew I couldn't stop it.

cbear : 10 days for some of us. I had just moved here from the Gulf coast, and though OH LORD, what did I do?? I thought I'd left hurricanes behind.

Neighbors tree split my house in 2. In temporary housing for almost one year😡

I had a pine from 3 houses down clip the side of my house, punch through the back windows and explode my deck, lol good times….NOT. ðŸ˜

I remember no power 9 days lots of damage caused by that storm zero from Allstate and the cost of propane and gasoline to run the generator. Centerpoint was quite bad with the information. They knew it was going to many days to over a week in many areas. I think they doing better now but we will see.
Texasdad : Do you mean Allstate did not pay for the damages?

My Neighbors tree came down and broke my back cement fence and come down to my swimming pool it was a mess, we where without power for like 10 days

Beryl is a name I'd rather forget. We had 14 trees down, one of which came through our house. We had just built a new deck and another tree destroyed it. Trees fell through every fence and into the pool. $108,000 in damage that Progressive paid in full save for the deductible. Out of power for 9 days but we were blessed with an RV that we stayed in along with our son and daughter.
QueenB : OMG...that is alot of damage! I am so sorrry to hear that. I understand not wanting to hear or see anything about Beryl ever again. « Back to Chat
