They haveprobably done their market research due diligence and identified this area as one where the middle class Hispanic population is growing to numbers that will sustain one of their restaurant. Their smaller but successful too competitor already opened a unit in Porter. Both are pretty and HOORRAY serve fresh oysters.

#msg6040950Cbear: they have good plates with grilled meat and shrimp and I also love their ribeye nachos; half an order of these nachos is funny because they are so good and rich. They have homemade Tres leches and I love the strawberry one and amazing craft margaritas in so many different flavors and a great happy hour! Monday is steak night at Patron!
If you like ceviche, fried seafood and michelada's it's a good spot….. Patron Grill is also good but more traditional Tex Mex Tough to compare them they're just different
LittleTexas and Donnawisdom reacted #msg6041381Never been-- is it worth it? Are we still talking Mambo ?
Connie's and Mambo's share ownership. Marketing decisions. Connienifico isn't catchy.
#msg6041396LittleTexas : I have never eaten there. Maybe I should try it.
#msg6041399Where is Connies??
#msg6041408Chow : Vuelve a la vida or is Vida Mariscos yet another Mexican style seafood business?
you can look on the Yelp app on their page there, for photos and reviews, that might help you find what dishes you'd enjoy there.
For really good ceviche in a restaurant I go to Hugo Ortega's businesses. There was a great Mazatlan style seafood place on Shepherd called La Fisheria. It didn't last because it didn't serve free chips and salsa.
Chachi's Next Door has top flight seafood. No free chips and salsa.
I get excellent ceviche from a food truck in Porter.
Tex-Mex seafood IMO is horrendous. But they serve free chips and salsa.
Those are opinions. Feel free to disagree.
