What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

I think worry so much about what happens to you after you die instead of living good life is absolutely ridiculous. John Lennon was so on spot with Imagine. The world would be a much better place if religion did not exist. Every religion in the name of God has done horrific things to humanity from the beginning of time. Believe my way or we will torture you and kill you. From the Greek Empire, Romain Empire, Christianity and Muslim. Christians killed people who decided you did not worship God the right way. Persecution of Catholics and Protestants by each other has a terrifying history. Even today here in Kingwood when asked my Religion and I say raised Catholic I have hard core Baptist tell me I am not really a Christian. At at neighborhood gathering years ago my husband's 94 year old grandmother pulled out her Rosary to hold in her hand to comfort her (both her adult children died) and some so called "Christian" told her that was just a vessel to the devil.

I think religion and religious people want to do good. And they do alot of good.
I think the trouble starts when they think they are the only ones with the right answer.
I certainly believe in God, but I believe in free will.
And I think that so much of what God encompasses is just beyond our ability to comprehend.

sebastian2 : Only God has the right answers. We are fortunate that his will and plan for humanity are revealed to us by scriptures. Many theologians say the answers to our questions are 90% revealed in the Bible. The other 10% may present a struggle to pinpoint unique answers to unique needs. But, God will lead his people if they depend on him as a child depends on his mother and father.

There are not many roads to God. There's only one according to the Bible.

But humans like to be their own God.
