Txbutterfly : I assume they've done their homework...the empty supply isn't fulfilling demand...

Joe : Dang Joe, I wanted to post this! LOL~! Pretty cool though. Look at some of the features:

The tower will also have a nine-story parking deck topped by a landscaped terrace and a street-level entrance with water features. Inside, Broadview is planning hospitality-style amenities including a restaurant and bar, fitness and yoga studios, a spa, conference spaces and a sky lounge with a bar, private theater, work cafe and wine-tasting room. It has been called the "snake building".

Joe :
Traffic is so bad right around there. I used to live on Bryn Mawr in Afton Oaks. Looks like this building will be looking down in the old neighbors' back yards.

Wiseowl : Homes going up for sale soon?! I wouldn't want to see a skyscraper in my backyard....especially out that is shaped like a snake!

Yeah...*I* wouldn't want to live there with that kind of traffic, that's for sure...

Cbear : I like the design. I think more creative architecture around town would be a good thing.

Joe : I read that theoretically, when the sun will be setting on the building reflecting off the tiles, it will appear as though the "snake" is moving! I wouldn't mind seeing that IRL however, the traffic down there is a nightmare. Heck, Kingwood traffic can be aggravating at times ! LOL~!

I think it is one of those things that you get used to. You couldn't pay me money to live inside the loop.

Annie :
It's the slithering, shiny "scales" look of the building, and how it curves, unlike the straight lines of most large buildings like that...

Is that a residential building or offices?

It's a commercial office bldg and traffic is bad there because that's the "What's Happening" part of Town.

Joe :
I lived in that area, but I was just out of college, about 24 years old, and working at an oil company downtown. At that age, Nothing bothers you Emoticon Now, no Way I would do it. Was So glad when my older son started his business, bought his home in Spring from close to that area, about 7 years ago, and I did not have to fight that madness, more often!

That bldg will probably lease for about $45 a ft with about $25 in expenses.
These days bldgs are about "Destination". The bldg has to be an 'experience' and O24 promises to be just that.
