Tachus sucks.

I agree. A long time fan of Tachus. Since EZ took over, many problems. Never occurred before.

We VERY rarely have any problems with them. We did call EZ Fiber and get upgraded speed and new equipment for the same price we were paying. We have been super happy with EZ Fiber. It's probably and equipment issue.

I had the same problem this morning. This is like a second time in last 2-3 weeks. Sucks!!! Never had this issue before with Tachus.

The DNS servers were obviously down earlier because I had an internet connection but it wouldn't work. I rarely have issues with Tachus now EZ, even since the buyout. If you are having daily issues then that is YOUR equipment. Even though it is EZ's equipment it is the the component/components in your house causing the issue.Rule of thumb. NEVER get your router from your provider. They are always junk with limited capabilities. Buy your own and learn how to hook one up. It is not hard and brands like ASUS are far better at everything than the junk your provider is going to charge you a monthly charge to use. Dropping that charge will pay for your own router in a very short time.

We've had fewer than 6 outages with Tachus/EZ in the 3+ years we've had them. So I agree that it sounds like a router issue.We have a TP-Link mesh router system with 3 nodes and have EZ's 1GB speed.

I specifically hopped on here this morning to see if anyone else was having a problem. We're in Bear Branch.

I found a few websites that didn't work with EZ, called them up and got to an engineer, we troubleshot the issue and found they had issues with the Vlan conversion from tachus to Ez… they ended up moving me to a new Vlan and then they replaced my modem, after that the node a few houses down kept getting water in it so they replaced that too. It's been about two to three months…. Then I found an issue with my router, turns out it has some code incompatibility with the modem if left up for long periods of time, so I scheduled a soft reboot every Monday at 3am. We'll see what else I can find….

Y'all, I went through a period of a few weeks where it was down for about 10 minutes in the morning around 8 ish. Hasn't happened as of late. Fingers crossed.

StormChaser : We were having major problems with Tachus. We were without service for about 3 weeks. They were in my house for days trying to fix the problem and finally it is fixed. They are very persistent! It has been about a week now without being dropped. Give them a call and I think they will get it fixed. It might take them a while. I know how frustrating it is!

TexasTideFan : We have been seriously considered Starlink. Do you have it?

Haven't had any problems with EZ Fiber. Knock on wood.
