I fell last Thursday well my wrist still hurts but I can move my fingers with some pain in my hand but not bad .i don't want to go to a dr if I don't need too but would it still hurt . When it hurts the most is if o put pressure on the band . No swelling either ? What would you do

I twisted my ankle at Nassau on the cruise and it still hurts and is stiff. No time to rest and keep it elevated. On my way home now.

Oh no, I hate to hear that. I would probably go to the doctor just to get it checked out. Better safe than sorry. Some things are better treated if caught early. Hope you feel better soon. Rest and take it easy if you can.

Oh no! You could have a fracture. When I broke my 2 wrists at the same time, I could move my fingers very well. Maybe get a wrist brace at Walmart and wear it a few weeks. I had to wear braces on both of my wrists. Instead of casts my Orthopedic put those on me… which I was grateful for. I bought a second pair at Walmart so I could wash the ones I wore every other week. Wouldn't hurt to try. I think it would give you some pain relief. And you can take it off when you bathe or shower. Hope it's better soon. NOTE be sure you are getting the correct one… right or left

I would blow it off 90% of my life but, I would see a doctor if it doesn't improve soon. Before my stroke I had a neck ache. I brushed it off as I pulled muscle or something and popped some aspirin and used a heating pad and ice packs. Long story short, not a pulled muscle but a warning sign. I'm sure it's not as severe as my situation but, better safe than sorry. The amount of things I've done or had done to my body and blown of gets more and more obvious each year.
I would keep icing it...20 min on, 1 hour off through the weekend...take Aleve if allowed. If it is not better by Monday, then call a hand specialist, not a regular ortho generalist.

True enough. Best to just take care. It's a damned shame we don't get a user's manual when were born. 😄
Thank you for the tip. On behalf of the library, thank you for your donation. 😉

Do you have a wrist brace or ace bandages that you could wrap it to keep it immobile? Ice on for 20 minutes and off for 20 minutes. Take ibuprofen for pain. If no improvement over the weekend, see a doctor. Hope you feel better soon!
