I have a question about shower doors . In January sometime we will have our garden tub pulled out and standing shower out in . Cleaning houses for 7 yrs I'm dreading that . So my question is do you use a squeegee ? I was thinking frosted glass ? Does anyone have an opinion ha ha ha on the doors ? I always had shower curtains ,

Many people use squeegee's bc water and soap deposits build up over time unless you pretty much wipe the door dry. Total high maintain pain in the buns!
Id go for frosted or patterned glass to hide imperfections.
Have it build where you dont need a door. My shower is a walk in with no door. The wall is tiled like the rest of the shower.
Similar to this, but i have a wall part of the way

When I did my remodel, I opted to have a shower without doors. Tired of the hard water spots and mildew.

Yep, that is what I just told her, but you beat me to it!
There are sprays also you can spray after shower. From what I have read you are on top of cleaning so if you stay on top of it it shouldn't be a problem. We do have hard water so it will build up fast. I would be more concern about the grout. Our grout is nasty and mold grows overnight. We are always regrouting. I can not wait to tear our shower out. That's our next project.

#msg6031004Txbutterfly: water doesn't splash on the floors in the bathroom ?
This is an issue for me too. We're about to remodel our bathroom and I'm pushing for no door and no glass.

My son's master bath has a wet room that contains the shower and the tub and there is no glass and no door to that room. Nothing splashes out.
I've also been in nice hotels that had a shower without a door. I just knew I would flood the place but very little splashed out.
I think the trend is going to No glass, No door.

No, water does not splash out of the shower area.
Now my kids not drying off inside and bringing water out is a different story. But they dont live here anymore, so not an issue.
