Jos. A. Bank suits, unless they've started sewing Kevlar into them, are probably a fraction of the cost of the designer suits Trump has bought over the years. Of course, if they do have Kevlar, they're probably about the same price!

We are up to our necks in Chinese-made products. It was a necessary evil to keep costs down and provide affordable products and conveniences for working Joes.

I don't like it when Trump attacks people over their personal appearance, and I didn't like seeing his supporters do the same. Making fun of someone's weight or appearance is just unnecessary. You can disagree with someone without going there.

But criticizing Trump for wearing something made in China when practically everything we buy these days comes from China seems a bit ridiculous to me.

#msg6030242pickme2 : You are wrong! He asked for a peaceful protest. Blame Pelosi instead.

GiggleMugs :
He did... once... in a 70-minute speech. Do you want to guess what the other 69.98 minutes were? Let's look at a few tidbits: "If you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore"; "We fight. We fight like hell"; "You'll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong"; "We will stop the steal"; "We will never give up, we will never concede"; "You're allowed to go by very different rules"; and lastly, "We are going to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue... and we're going to the Capitol..."

He wasn't the only one to speak, either. There were openers with lines like Giuliani's: "Over the next 10 days, we get to see the machines that are crooked and the ballots that are fraudulent. Let's have trial by combat." Or how about Rep. Mo Brooks with: "Today is the day American patriots start taking down names and kicking ***"; "Our ancestors sacrificed their blood, their sweat, their tears, their fortunes, and sometimes their lives... Are you willing to do the same?"; and finally, "...carry the message to Capitol Hill."

And let's not leave out Don Jr., who said: "You can be a hero, or you can be a zero. And the choice is yours. But we are coming for you, and we're going to have a good time doing it"; and, "This isn't their Republican Party anymore. This is Donald Trump's Republican Party."

All in all, after all that, saying "peacefully and patriotically" surely didn't defuse the crowd at the end like some sort of off switch trigger words. If you neglect or redact enough of an event, it always seems much better, don't you think?

Let's see an example. Here we focus on just a man.

#msg6030283GiggleMugs : You really need to put all that in context. I did that in a previous comment.

sebastian2 :
I attempted more context in the words said at the rally prior to the riot.

sebastian2 : I wasn't sure if I made it too long and if the pictures were too much. There's a lot to unpack for that short amount of time. Thank you for the notes.

Trump’s America On Display

The 'protect women' crowd cheers when a MAGA man punches a woman protesting Trump while wearing a 'Release the Epstein files' shirt. This is Trump's America.

Youngstown Police: If Assault Victim At Trump Rally Files A Report, They Will Investigate
S.V. Date
Tue, October 13, 2026 at 1:16 PM CDT

WASHINGTON ― Local police in Ohio on Tuesday encouraged a woman protester who was repeatedly punched by a follower of President Donald Trump at his Monday night rally to file a complaint and launch a criminal investigation.

"No one should be assaulted at an event," said Youngstown Police Lt. Frank Rutherford. "If you punch somebody in the face, you should get in trouble for that. That's wrong."

The woman, whose identity is not known to HuffPost, was repeatedly punched by a balding rallygoer in a dark T-shirt as a television camera recorded the attack. The video shows deputies from the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office approach, restrain the assault victim and ****** her out of the Covelli Center arena but allow her assailant to remain at the rally.

The protester was wearing a T-shirt with the words "RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES" and lifted her arms with middle fingers raised before being led off.

It is unclear what happened prior to the camera panning over to catch the punches, whether, for example, the woman had physically struck her attacker first or whether she was only verbally insulting Trump and his supporters.

Trump watched the entire scene play out in front of him. Instead of telling his followers to stop hitting the woman, he insulted and mocked her instead.

"He's a paid protester. They're all paid. They get paid by the lefties in order to destroy our country. They're scum. But he's going back home to mom. Going back home to mom," he said. "He's a fat guy. Wow. Wow. Got to go on a diet fast."

The White House did not respond to HuffPost queries about why Trump did not try to stop the assault as it was happening.

I probably just shouldn't bother, and I'll preface this by saying I disagree with ALL VIOLENCE against each other over political stuff, and agree that every person has the right to protest, and for their opposing opinion to be heard buuuuut... reading through this thread and all the finger-pointing begs the question (at least, to me): Are the Democrats looking at themselves in the mirror? Or is actually killing people, burning down entire cities, and starting riots cool, but heckling someone at a Trump rally sentences you to burn in hell?

And as for J6 and "calling for violence"... let's not forget that whole reel of Democrat Congresspeople literally calling their constituents to get violent with Republicans.
