Outdoor Christmas Lights!
Has anyone else noticed that some people are already lighting up their homes? The first home I noticed was in Bear Branch and I thought maybe that had someone in their home that wasn't well- and they wanted to celebrate Christmas early with them. Or maybe a homecoming with someone in the military.

But last night I took my dog for a car ride (IYKYK) . I noticed several homes have twinkle lights in their windows, I saw one with a lighted tree and several with the eves of the homes with lights- and not the kind people have year round.

Something tells me that there will be more people going all out with the Christmas spirit this year and putting it up earlier than ever. I think people are craving some extra cozy and cheer this year-- more than ever.
I think the warmth and peacefulness of the holidays is going to make its appearance in our neighborhoods the day after Halloween is over! I know that I have had enough "spooky" and am ready for the "jolly"!

teatime : Many use companies to install the lights.. These companies are super busy throughout the season so they start early. I think some even offer is discount for early installation. Just a way to get all there clients taken care of ... that being said I would turn them on to test them, but I would not have them lit every night this early....

Awe, I bet you're right. People are looking for the cheer! I've got some stuff ordered so it gets here by the end of Oct and up TG week.
I wouldn't have it on now tho. There are lots of giant spooks all lit up right now lol

I've noticed a few homes that are already decorated for the holidays too, and it seems like there are fewer homes decorated for Halloween this year. I didn't have time to decorate, but I do have a nice Fall wreath outside next to the front door. I'm still trying to decide if I'm handing out candy this year or not. There's just been so much going on lately.
