Recommendations on where to get my cat spayed and advice in gene
Update: wanting to know how an older cat did compared to kitten? Will it change her personality? Will the recovery be longer? Recommendations on where to get my cat spayed and advice in general. She is 5, but I have only had her a little over a month. I have not done this with an older cat.

KingwoodNana : They say Texas litter control is the cheapest place. Take awhile to get the appointment. Call right away as it is a long wait.

KingwoodNana : Make sure to get a cone for her neck. One female cat got infected messing with her surgery site.

*Have them to blood tests to make sure there are no diseases, before vaccinations.
*Feed wet food, pate style, and skip heavy gravies. You can add some kibble once a day to help keep teeth clean, or offer dental treats.
*Lots of fresh water. Many prefer fountains with running water.
*Keep your cat indoors ( too many hazards outside and roaming cats with diseases),

KingwoodNana : Dr Keillor our vet works at Texas Litter Control on Thursdays. She is awesome. We used dog pajamas when we had our dogs spayed. They can't get to the surgery site and it beats the cone of shame.
SteveT : I agree! The doggie PJs are great. When my mom's dog had to have a large tumor removed we used the PJs and had no problems. It was winter time and I think the pup really liked them. I have also used a blowup collar. That worked well for my Yorkie. If he ever needs surgery again I will use the PJs.
