Banana tree question

I watered this morning because I learned to not trust rain in the forecast and saw this…Does this mean there will be bananas?

I've never seen a flower on a banana tree

I've never seen that on a banana tree either. Maybe what you have is really the corpse flower! Emoticon

Do not cut it off. That is where the stalk for fruit comes from. Water it and you will soon see little bananas. I grew them in Hawaii....
