Kingwood Collective Boutique Vendors Report Alleged Theft Days Before Grand Opening

Vendors at The Collective Boutiques in Kingwood are asking the community for help after merchandise was allegedly stolen from several booths on Sunday, September 20th, just days before the shopping center's grand opening weekend.

According to one vendor, a woman using a rollator walker was captured in connection with the reported thefts, with Girly-Girl-Gifts & Custom Hats among the businesses that allegedly lost merchandise. The vendor believes the walker may have been used to conceal items, though that has not been independently confirmed.

Some local resident's have alleged that the woman picture's name is Susan Green, but the woman's identity has not been confirmed by law enforcement. Anyone who recognizes her or has information about the incident is encouraged to contact law enforcement.

The Collective Boutiques recently opened in the former Painted Tree location at 1153 Kingwood Drive. Its grand opening celebration is scheduled for Saturday, September 26th, from 10 AM to 8 PM.

Any theft or involvement described remains alleged unless established through the legal process.

How very sad. These vendors put so much into their businesses and put up with a lot from painted tree. Now as they brave another endeavor, in the same place mind you, they get hit again.
One reason I never got involved is because I couldn't work my space. That was what I loved about our hometown one. Every business was an independent. You want to order or buy something, you deal directly with the artist/ owner. No third party eyes on your hard work.
I hope they do better for the vendors and prosecute the hell out of the thieves.

Why did they think it would be any different than the old place? It's way to easy for thieves there.

Someone will definitely recognize her. I hope they'll give a small reward so they will dime her out. Awful that this woman comes in and steals from these small businesses!
