New Italian Gelato and Coffee Brand Casagela Coming to Kingwood A new Italian gelato and coffee concept is preparing to make its U.S. debut in Kingwood. Casagela, an independent family-owned brand, plans to open its first American flagship in the community in spring of next year. The shop will center around gelato made fresh in-store each day by Italian chefs using carefully selected ingredients, including many imported from Italy. Plans also include an Italian espresso bar, pastries, light breakfast and lunch offerings, panini, tiramisu, cannoli and other desserts. Casagela is owned and operated by the Shahini family, which says Kingwood will serve as the brand's first U.S. market and flagship location. The exact Kingwood location has not yet been announced and is expected to be revealed at a later date. An exact opening day has also not been set beyond the current early 2027 timeframe.
