Need wildlife rescue in Kingwood for a squirrel.

It might just be stunned if it isn't bleeding. Lay him out near a tree and leave him alone. If he's able to survive, he'll run away. If he's too injured, let him him become nourishment to another animal in the circle of life.

He made it through the night and still hasn't pulled out of it. I would rather save it the suffering and get it to someone that can either put it out of its misery or save it.

Texas Parks and Wildlife has facilities for rescuing babies and injured. The one we use the most is down off Old Katy Road. I give them a $25 donation just for helping us. I think we have had to rescue about a dozen baby possums over the years who lost their mom and we always take them there. They let them grow, treat if injured and release to a safer area.

Jeepinbear : Thanks. I used to volunteer for them a lifetime ago in another building. I took the little guy down there. They said he had a bloody nose but looked pretty good otherwise.

sweetie : Thanks. I'll use that in the future. There was a list on the Texas wildlife rehab site but couldn't get an answer. Never know if that list is up to date or not.
