@JCajun : I will argue against your trucker story. Truckers (even here in Houston) have been and still implementing emergency fuel surcharges to their customers. Those costs are usually then are passed on to consumers. Very few truckers will absorb the additional cost in diesel.

Oh, I'm agree with you. I know they are feeling the pain because it is an immediate effect on their profit. Even if they pass on the increase, they won't see it make up for the cost increase for some time.

@FRUGAL : Not for taxes! They should have tightened their belt like we would. The tax payer is a cash cow and they have an endless supply of money. They never budget anything and they give raises that are over the top!

@Cbear : If you are 65 or older, your school taxes are frozen the year you turned 65 and claimed that exemption. They can go down but not up. The county taxes are also much reduced due to senior exemptions that greatly reduce them. I doubt even those will move much at all.AI
