@Echo72 :
That's Horrible & shocking they would not allow a refund! Did you bring the spoiled meat into customer service? I would reach out to their corporate headquarters! Also, I really like Kroger, but do take advantage of their digital coupons, huge savings there. They now have them in printed form on table by customer service!❤️

@jv339 : I have taken meat back to HEB because it was spoiled. I've never had a problem getting a refund. Like I said before, I found out my fridge was the problem as the seals needed replaced. I haven't had a problem again.

That looks nasty and I'm sorry they gave that to you. And yes, we have had issues with curbside doing the same. The meat was coming in with a powerful odor. They weren't very helpful to us either. We've stopped doing curbside all together and honestly we're considering buying meat elsewhere because the quality at HEB has been terrible.

I don't order HEB curbside very often, but I've never received spoiled meat from them before. I am surprised they are not offering a refund on these items, though. Good luck with the quality of the meat products from Kroger. I always select my own when I'm shopping from either store.

Oh wow, that's awful. I have to say if they did it once I wouldn't order from them again I prefer to buy meat at Kroger over H-E-B anyway, but I certainly wouldn't put up with this. Sorry it happened to you so frequently.! What was the response of H-E-B management?

Sorry to hear this. I've used curbside quite a bit and never had anything spoiled. Never seen any brown like that pack of chuck even in the store. I have seen that at Kroger but not HEB.

#msg6011288Echo72 : I see all the 'pickers' pulling orders for curbside pickup, and I don't think they are consistent in pulling perishables at the end of pulling orders...

@Echo72 : I have never done HEB curbside or delivery but maybe order just meat and frozen popsicles. If you get liquid popsicles, you know it sat out too long and it's either an individual shopper problem or HEB doesn't prioritize cold items and they are exposed to heat too long. If you don't have them placed in a cooler when you go to pick up, you may want to try that too.

Be advised too that the meat counter in the stores have special lighting to make the meats look brighter and fresher.

I haven't ever used that service, I don't think I'd like someone else picking my groceries. Hell, I don't even like my kids going to the market for me.

I use primarily HEB curbside- the store here in the back. I have never had any issues with meat. I have noted that ground beef that is not in those tube things has a very short (one or today's) sell by date. I only order it when planning on using it the same or next day. Same with seafood.
If I'm buying prime beef tenderloin I call the meat counter and ask the butcher to pick out my steaks -wrap and have them held for my curbside order under my name . They are very accommodating with my requests.
I don't care for the meat at Kroger- I'm sure that it is fine, just a personal preference.

@Kingwoodgypsy :
thank you for the input, that's sort of my stance, if it looks nasty why pick it for a customer who won't see it until they get home and start unloading everything? Or in my case, the next day after the teenager in residence unloaded everything. I've always been impressed with Kroger meat, seems more fresh.
