I Want My Old Dial Thermostat Back!

I WANT MY OLD *** DIAL THERMOSTAT BACK!

So, 2am today, I woke up freezing. I thought it might have been just that I got out of the pool and went to bed the night before. My cat was under the covers all night. Got up at 7 am today and MF....thermostat was set at 50! Reading 64 upstairs! Means..downstairs was 60 degrees! I turned it up to 78 for the day as normal. Just now I went up to dial it back to 74 which = 70 downstairs, came across some stupid *** fesature called "temporary. " I think that is wht made it get so flippin cold. Lord me, I hate this. I want my round dial thermostat back and down on the 1st floor. Rrrr. I will show myself out now.

@Kittle : Same - wifi thermostat and it doesn't do anything weird. I set a schedule and it follows it.

Not a nest or whatever they are called. I don't need AI randomly determining my thermostat temp.

I miss old school stuff too ! Remember before cell phones when you called a relative or friend and you actually talked to a live body ? I hate being "liked", "hearted", and "thumbs up" !

@Cbear : LOL, I'm sorry I have to laugh. Just give it a chance. You will love being able to turn you ac down with your phone when you are not home. I love mine. Read the instructions and you can learn how to set it. It will be fine!

@Cbear : I understand! If your thermostat is like mine you will be able to control it from anywhere. When I am away from home for the day I can turn it up and then turn it back down before I get home. I think it saves me on my electric bill. There is no reason to have the house at 70 degrees if no one is home.
