it will create lots of jobs that they need in that area, and the taxes collected from Spacex will be a great boost to the local school district, and therefore benefit the children and families in Grimes County.

Let's hope they follow through with a minimum of disruption to the local community.

My uncle is thrilled. My sister is mad that they sold too soon. Her acres would have been in or adjacent to the proposal.

sweetie : I'm not sure how I feel about it and I'm sure the people of Grimes country are thrilled but, will this disrupt wild life ~~~honey bees, butterflies, and other pollinators? How much water will the facility use and how much pollution/garbage will they cause? I hope it's not on a river! 3,400-acre site in Grimes County. That is a lot of land that will be concrete and pavement! I drive thru Grimes County about once a month. I know that area and Bryan-College Station as well. While it's great for jobs I see issues regarding roads, future housing development etc. Most of the roads where this projected is to be built are narrow country roads. Hopefully there will be enough taxes generated to rebuild the roads and support the retail and housing development that will grow around this chip plant.

Someone please tell me what towns or cities are located in Grimes County. Thanks. Oops. Apparently Bryan and College Station.
