At 5:00 today, my dash was showing straight up 100, and also 104 as the road temp. Just crazy!

Based on Travis' post, we checked our weather monitor in the backyard, just to see for ourselves and it was reading 998 millibars, so sort of in the middle of his 1000 and 995 numbers. Will check it again later to see if it moves. Gotta love those home gadgets!!

I agree. I saw that last night. I like how he explains things and is not all hype. That being said, I hope nothing changes and it comes here!

Weathergirl5 : I like following along with the updates, but definitely not all the hype. Information is good, but too many overhype and turn the "what ifs" into the main story. That causes people panic, over buy and clean out the stores.

I agree. I had to go to HEB yesterday morning for the normal stuff and I was pleased to see there was no panic buying. Being informed is wise and helpful, fear mongering is not.

My brother called me from Florida asking me if we are going to be ok and have supplies… love him but for Peet's sake he is stressing me out. I had to ask him you know I have been out here for 20 years now and there is not much more o can do if it's coming my way. I still have to work, I still will lose power, still use a generator…"This is same guy who just bought a generator last year….

ForestFinds : People that don't live on or near the coast tend to group any tropical disturbance together, from just a depression all the way up to a major Cat-whatever storm. Some are just a lot of rain and mostly hype but they see them all as severe with cause for alarm.
