StormChaser : We were 14 days Beryl and put our generator in January this year. I feel for first time buyers in KW when they can finally get into a home and realize ther'e gonna need a $13,000 generator too!

TEXASGIRLMAMMA : A neighbor told me of his experience in these apartments. The water was completely up to the second floor apartments. They couldn't be rescued by boat because there were too many appliances and other debris floating around including gasoline. They were rescued by helicopter.

Brat : I agree; when I see the 'disaster day' count, my heart sinks. I had friends who stayed with me at the time, for months, until their home was restored. When we could get to their home, all of their appliances were On the countertops, having floated there, and gotten stuck, in the deep water. EVERY surface and window in their home was decimated. If it is hard for me to see it, I can imagine what it must feel like, to those who's home it Was, that was mostly or fully, destroyed?
I think a single, annual reminder in homage is enough.
Brat : He is fighting for those of us that flooded - and trying to prevent it from happening again. We should not forget what happened; ignoring undesirable information does not solve the problem.
Big trucks north of SW Trails & Woodland Hills across from KPARK ? City of Houston bought this property after it flooded Elm Grove due to faulty excavation by previous owners a few years back. Now there are trucks removing earth by the truckload and have people directing traffic......what's going on now ?
billcherie2 : I lived in Elm Grove. We did not flood during Harvey. About time they fixed that property. Cannot believe they were allowed to do what they did. (Perry Homes). Our home flooded twice in 2019 because of it. Total BS.

Brat : Bob does a fantastic service to our community in keeping us informed about issues that will affect future flooding. As someone who flooded twice thanks to Perry Homes' misuse of the land, I am thankful for his diligence.
