E-scooter crash and message from teen survivor.
Prayers for her continued recovery. It's admirable that she wanted to share her story to help others. Hope her message will encourage everyone to consider wearing helmets when riding any type of bike. www.click2houston.co m/news/local/2026/06 /24/teen-survives-tr aumatic-brain-i

Sadly not wearing helmets is nothing new and TBI's are real. Remember Joseph Stanton here in Kingwood? Fell off his skateboard, hit his head and survived mostly bedbound for many years. Team Joseph would go around doing talks and sharing his story to encourage helmet use. This young lady is very lucky and needs to continue to spread the word....more powerful coming from her than some adult!

I fell off the back of my brother's bike two weeks before the start of fifth grade. I remember falling backward, and then I remember waking up in my parents' bed. I had a severe concussion and have no memory of the intervening 36 hours. I was really lucky and made a full recovery. Always. Wear. A. Helmet. These kids have no idea what kind of risks they're taking.
golfshot, Kittle and sheltielover reacted Glad they expect a full recovery, she definitely has a Guardian Angel! Happy she shared her story!🙏
As important as helmets are, and I totally support helmet requirements, there are many other injuries in addition to brain injuries that can have lifetime consequences. Safety education and parental guidance are essential.
