Is this the same CEO that was interviewed with him wearing a crazy expensive Rolex sitting under a thermostat at a comfy temp during massive power outages in the blazing heat after Beryl? Yep, looks like it…

#msg5939410donnatella : No CEO should have that salary.

Kittle : Particularly, with all the outages and dips in power that are non weather related.

Kittle : I realize CEO salaries have to be high to attract someone willing to be in that "buck stops here" 24/7 role, but when rates are insane, outages are frequent and way too common, he's not doing his job and a massive increase is not warranted.

#msg5939403FeralHermit : He refused to resign after Beryl, now I see why.

UptownGirl : If he refused to resign, anything else that can be done I wonder?

I understand and agree with your comments however a very nice but reduced salary with savings passed to clients makes sense. I don't see any one person worth $12 million.

FeralHermit: His performance, or lack thereof, certainly does not merit such a lucrative salary

That's a lot of money for collecting a guaranteed rate of return while failing to ensure reliable service

Any utility related business should never pay a CEO that much. People sit in the dark because they don't want to spend too much to have their lights on. And here he is….

Just remember people died during that snowstorm when the power went out. I don't know how many people died during Beryl because their breathing devices or infant monitors went down, but I bet there were a few. Such arrogant greed.

FeralHermit :
He is not worth $12 million. Centerpoint has been awful the last 10 years. All he is doing is raising our rates and collecting our money for himself. That salary would be better used for the intrastructure.
