They should provide maps people can understand without needing a training session. It's ridiculous.
And the fact that you can't enlarge it to see doesn't help either

Don't complain to me. Go to one of the sessions and complain to the people who can actually do something about it.
Yep, the device you're on is a factor too on viewing ability.
Typical government stupidity.
On top of that, it's got no bearing on insurance .

#msg5935628ExCTGuyInTX : You're promoting it so you should know.
#msg5935629MissAmericanPie : I am NOT promoting it. I am passing along information that I received from HCFCD.
I've been dealing with this map for work for a bit now and can zoom in and out on both mobile and desktop just fine. It's easy to understand. There's only a few colors for floodway, 100-year, and 500-year floodplain. I assume the information sessions are for people who haven't used a GIS based map or don't understand floodplains and what they mean. The draft maps will be subject to public comment after they become preliminary. After they go through the preliminary review process and comment period, they will become pending. During the pending phase, comments are addressed and FEMA makes any final changes. FEMA will issue a Letter of Final Determination and six months later, the maps become final and legally binding for insurance purposes.

I did too but I'm on an iPad and it's just a mess lol. Plus I already know I'm not in one either. I was just curious.
