Has anyone sold their antiques locally? Some family members have downsized. This has left us with several antiques that need to find new homes. We've been told there is a store in Conroe that buys antiques but wondering if anyone has found others. We know we could do a "vintage item" yard sale but we know antiques aren't as valued as they used to be and we may not find buyers. We are hoping we can move all of it on to a new home with a dealer. Thanks for any insights.

You can list them yourself on Facebook marketplace but as you said, remember what was a treasured piece to you, may not bring the amount that it shows in a book or that you want. Warman's is the Bible of antique dealers. You can probably get one for a good price at half price books, and get an idea of what to charge for it. Just post it and wait for your buyer.a dealer will take their cut, and your profit diminished quite a bit.
I haven't been in ages, but those antique malls that were all over at one time, have individual vendors that will buy items.

You can actually rent a space at those malls, to sell your antiques as well, but that would mean driving back-and-forth to man the booth, having to get them there to show, and space rental fees, etc. my sister did this for a while when she sold antique china. When my schedule would allow, I would go and help her sell, but she stopped doing it because the profit was just not worth what she was spending.

Take pictures and list them in Classifieds here. List your price or best offer. Might be some KDCers that would love that furniture.
#msg5934926luannski : the one in Humble is still open, was juat there last week.

Spring Antique Mall is huge. I've not done it, but I know there used to be buyers in there who will look at your things by appointment, having you drive to a certain back door area.
