Fyi. Greentree direct Police number.

Deputy Grant here,

🚨 Greentree Village Residents - Important Safety Reminder 🚨

If you ever need police assistance or have an emergency in our community, please do NOT call 911.
Calls from our area will be routed to HPD, which will delay Precinct 4 response times.

For the fastest response, please contact the Harris County Precinct 4 24‑hour Emergency Dispatch directly at:

📞 281‑376‑3472

Your safety matters, and using the correct number ensures deputies can respond quickly and efficiently.
Thank you for helping keep Greentree Village safe and informed.

According to the initial post, it says do NOT call 911 which is routed to HPD, causing delays. At least that's how I read it.

So Greentree is patrolled by Harris County Precinct 4 while the remainder of the Kingwood Villages are patrolled by the Housto Police Department?

Is Greentree in Montgomery County? I know King's Manor is? Would make sense, then, if not In Harris County?

Why wouldn't 911 route an urgent call message to Precinct 4, if needed by address? This makes no sense.

I appreciate this deputy's hard work, but I disagree with his advice ….. I lean toward 911 being the best all around number for emergencies - inside & outside Greentree.

Stay safe !!

GreentreeMom :
I read it. No, instead of first routing it to HPD, as he says happens, why not directly route it to Pct 4 first if the address warrants, was my suggestion.

FatCop :
Agreed, the relay of information to 9-1-1 dispatch could be delayed. Sometimes a very few minutes' delay, makes a very big difference.
