#msg5929900HappyDay2016 : How long has it been there?
Most of the articles I am finding have a pop up to pay, AI gave me this summary: * The 60-ton shrimp trawler became stuck after a fishing net tangled in the wheel/propeller while operating close to shore during the final day of shrimping season.
* Owner Shane Rilat said the vessel drifted onto a sandbar and was pushed farther ashore by tides and surf.
* Recovery efforts involve coordination among multiple agencies including the U.S. Coast Guard, the Texas General Land Office, and salvage crews. Heavy equipment, digging, and water jets may be required.
* Community support has grown rapidly, with donations and volunteers helping the stranded crew. A GoFundMe reportedly raised tens of thousands of dollars toward recovery costs.
* The boat has become a local attraction, drawing crowds to the beach and widespread social media attention.

#msg5930689I wonder I'd this is the same one? I took this from the cruise ship back in 2023.
I saw that on Ch 11 just now; so glad people rallied to help them. More fried shrimp!
We love going to Joe Lee's Seafood on Marina Bay Drive in Kemah, after a day of fishing. We used to go down to buy seafood when I was a kid, and Joe's was just a spot the boats came in, and you brought a cooler to bring your very fresh seafood home, in. Soon, they added a little kitchen and a few picnic tables, and you could eat there. They have pistolette's, too! The prices are great, and they have so much of the history of Galveston's storms, and more, on their walls; their personal photos.

"Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sauté it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich... That- that's about it." "I'm telling you, we'll split everything right down the middle. I'm telling you, fifty-fifty and we'll have all the shrimp we can eat."
