Does it seem insane to have an Ebola screening facility at IAH? I guess I'm confused why we can't deny entry for anyone from Ebola-stricken countries. Especially as it is said to be spreading and there is no cure. Or is it just me?

Well - we are about to get a bunch of soccer players and potentially fans from the republic of Congo to Houston for the World Cup. It's not ideal overall

Houston is one of the top medical destinations in the world. Plus with the World Cup coming here, increased volume of passengers from international destinations, with schools being out in many places, and the volume and variety of flights that arrive from other countries at IAH, it makes quite a bit of sense. Here is a diagram of the screening; its intense, thank goodness.

#msg5927553NoBias : And it is spread through bodily fluids… saliva, diarrhea, vomit…. I am an international flight attendant and I have ways to help a sick passenger without exposing myself. Seems like IAH doesn't want to make FIFA welcome…
#msg5927662bigla : So it's not airborne through coughing, breathing etc?
