Those garages are usually deserted overnights. Even at the major hospitals. TMC needs to step up policing during those hours especially.

The article I read about it said there was no additional threat to the surrounding area, so I could have been a targeted domestic issue. Very sad either way. Glad they are stepping up security in the garages.

She suffered injuries to her face, hands, chest, and foot. She was transported for treatment, received stitches, and is now working with investigators as the investigation continues.Her mother said her daughter has no idea why she was targeted or what the suspect wanted. During the attack, the suspect reportedly took her backpack, but two men chased him down, causing him to drop it.As previously reported, the stabbing happened around 6:47 a.m. inside TMC Garage 1 located at 6519 Fannin. This happened about 10 minutes before I pulled into that garage today, the TMC Police were turning us all around on the 3rd floor to exit the garage. I park there about 80% of the year.
Sometimes I go in at 1-2am and it's always kinda sketchy around that area with all of the homeless.

This is scary I usually park in garage 2. There are always sketchy people hanging around outside the garages. Sometimes they will ask for money. It would help if they had security a little more visible. That guy was pretty brazen on a Monday there would have been plenty of people around at that time

MARYBEES : I spoke to my son and his hospital sent a broadcast to all employees that they are increasing patrols but they will provide escorts if desired for now. He works at Texas Childrens and uses garage 2.

They have a photo of a suspect; probably trolling the area for victims ? Praying for her recovery. I'd add Mace ( the kind that color marks) to what I carry. if parking there. Tell your son to be even more vigilant and stay safe!
