House Fire in Forest Cove this morning. Fire is out but there are reports of Forest Cove Drive at Walnut Lane being blocked. This is a "cut through" for many folks coming across from Trailwood Village...so heads up.

Chow : lol I don't know what's wrong with him. I know at Easter he walks around the neighborhood carrying a humongous cross. I don't understand why he never has to clean his yard up. It's always a mess. He had a recliner out there for years. I don't know if it's still out there or not.

sheltielover : It was vacant for some time. Owner lost it because of non payment of taxes. Really sad situation
sweetie : I'm glad it was empty. I am sure someone will now buy that lot and build another huge home on it.
MissAmericanPie : he hasn't paid taxes and maintenance in years. What I was told is that he lived in the house he let his kids live in there and he moved out. They tore the house up and he just quit paying taxes years ago. I don't know if any of that's true but that's what the talk is in Forest Cove.

frebu : Not as much of a concern in Forest Cove. People are buying houses and tearing them down to build new. This house, although on a busy cut through street, sits on a large lot. Probably will be snatched up…and probably will sell easier without the house on it.

sheltielover : There's one just behind the KDC offices (Southern Hills Dr, Forest Cove) that has been sitting empty forever...looks like someone started to rehab it, then abandoned it and left it sitting open to the elements, and now it has major mold problems...they tried to sell if for something like $300k a while back I saw on Zillow, but it looks to me like it might need to be demolished...I can't imagine it's worth $300k, certainly not for the lot/property alone...
Joe yes a couple of times a redo was started and not finished…obviously. Been vacant for probably 15 yrs. Not a great location as it backs up to businesses on Kingwood drive
