Tell us a bit about your business: What does your business offer and how long have you been around?

Origin Environmental Inc. is your go-to mold testing authority, committed to ensuring the safety and health of your

environment. Based in Houston and serving surrounding areas, we have been safeguarding homes and businesses with our comprehensive inspection and testing services for over 12 years. Our structured four-step process--Schedule, Inspect, Test, Report--ensures thoroughness and accuracy.

How did you decide to get involved in this line of work? How did the business get started?
My journey into this field began after retiring from a nearly two-decade-long career in law enforcement. Together with my wife, we ventured into the construction industry, specializing as a General Contractor with a focus on

emergency restoration, including fire, water, and mold damage. This experience revealed a critical need for precise and reliable testing of air quality, mold, radon, and lead, prompting the establishment of Origin Environmental.

Tell us a couple things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
I take great pride in our ability to address health and medical symptoms that may arise from environmental factors. Unlike medical professionals who do not visit homes, I personally ensure a thorough investigation into potential mold issues. My

extensive background in law enforcement has honed my investigative skills, enabling me to make a significant, positive impact on people's health and safety.

What is your favorite part of running this business?
What I cherish most about running Origin Environmental is the opportunity it provides to serve others. The business allows me to aid families and individuals daily while enjoying the perks of flexible hours and being my own boss, all at a pace that suits my lifestyle.

Who is your target market or ideal customer/client?
Our primary clientele includes concerned parents and grandparents who notice health symptoms similar to allergies--such as headaches, rashes, and breathing difficulties--often triggered by their immediate surroundings. When traditional medical routes do not alleviate these symptoms, they turn to us to assess and address

environmental factors.

Is there any other information you'd like your potential customers/clients to know about your business?
Additionally, it's important for pet owners to realize that mold spores can accumulate in their pets' hair and fur, potentially exacerbating mold issues at home. We offer specialized testing and remediation services to handle these unique challenges and improve indoor air quality.

How do you see your business growing and improving over the next couple of years?

Looking ahead, I am dedicated to adapting our services to meet the unique climatic challenges of the Houston

area, characterized by extreme moisture and humidity. Our goal is to ensure that every household and business can maintain a mold-free environment, contributing to the overall health and well-being of our community.
