Modern Heart & Vascular Introduces Their New Interventional and Structural Cardiologist

Kingwood, Texas - August 17, 2023 – Modern Heart and Vascular introduces their new cardiologist Dr. Mouzam Faroquia. He is a highly skilled and experienced cardiologist with a strong background in general and interventional cardiology, Dr. Faroqui is dedicated to providing his patients with the latest advancements in medical and invasive therapies.

Dr. Faroqui completed his internship, residency, and general cardiology training at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He then pursued further specialization in structural, endovascular, and interventional cardiology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University/Deborah Heart and Lung Center. During his training, he served as the Chief Fellow of the Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular, and Interventional Programs.

With board certifications in Internal Medicine, ASC National Board of Echocardiography, APCA Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and APCA Board of Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Faroqui is committed to delivering exceptional care to his patients. He is currently working towards his cardiology board certification, which he plans to complete in October 2023.

Dr. Faroqui's expertise encompasses a wide range of cardiovascular interventions. His interventional training includes complex and high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention, chronic total occlusions, acute and chronic limb therapy, venous treatment, and invasive pulmonary emboli and DVT treatment. In addition, his structural cardiology training involved procedures such as aortic and mitral valvuloplasty, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, atrial appendage occluder devices, PFO/ASD/PDA/VSD closure, and alcohol septal ablation.

As an active contributor to the field of cardiology, Dr. Faroqui has authored or co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and has presented at several national meetings. He is a proud member of the prestigious American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, and Cardiovascular Research Foundation. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu. He loves spending time with his family. He enjoys meeting new people, traveling and has been to over 15 countries in South America, Europe, and Asia. He's lived in NYC his whole life and is excited about settling down and serving his community in the greater Houston area.
