One Acre Farm's autism programs are unique in that they incorporate movement and animal therapy to unlock portions of the brain that are normally difficult to unlock in people with autism. By using these scientifically-proven techniques, oxytocin is released into the brain - the hormone that produces happiness and communication. This combination of oxytocin, a sensory friendly environment, and a "yes" space with preferred activities, provides the perfect environment for learning and expression. While the sessions are individualized specifically for the child with autism, the entire family reaps the benefits of this "therapy." Siblings often get a chance to play alongside each other or get their own time to explore the farm. Parents get to enjoy a bit of a much needed break as their children are involved in prepped activities.

$150 provides a 1.5 hour session for a child and his/her family.
One Acre Farm's aim is to provide these sessions free of charge to families. Families of children with autism often have immense financial obligations to different specialists and therapies, and we do not want to add to that financial strain.
