Does My Business Need A Coach? - Kingwood

Tom Brady. LeBron James. Tiger Woods. Lionel Messi.

These are some of the most well-known names in the sports world, primarily because they (or their team) have won multiple championships.

But there is another, lesser-known thing they all have in common: Specialized Coaching

Each of these individuals has created a team of coaches to optimize their mental and physical skills across a variety of areas. Their teams include nutritionists, sports-science coaches, flexibility coaches, strength coaches and coaches who help them improve mental resilience.

To reach true potential, all athletes rely on a coach. Not only does a coach hold you accountable, great coaches help improve your skills and detect flaws that hinder your performance. From the playing field to the business field; the same can be said for business. A really great business coach helps you leverage your current skills to improve your overall performance.

As business owners we must realize that if you are not continuously growing and improving, you risk becoming stuck, and you could even start to regress. The world is changing quickly, and it’s tough to keep up with the latest trends in marketing your product or service to your target customer.

The result? More wins, in the form of greater profits – for you and your business! The right insight, the right perspective, can lead to success. Remember: you can’t see your own golf swing or free throw.

How To Find The Right Coach
• Find a coach who will challenge you and might even be completely different than you from a personality standpoint. If you hire a coach who will tell you what you want to hear, you won’t gain anything. You’ll just reinforce your current pattern. Your coach should bring you out of your comfort zone and make you reassess — not reinforce — what you’re doing.
• Find a coach who encourages you to change with the times — even if it’s inconvenient. Tom Brady and LeBron James are pretty darn successful. What if they closed their ears and kept doing what they were doing without adapting to changes in the NFL and NBA, respectively? Their success would wane.

The bottom line: Embrace diverse opinions. Be open to new ideas. Listen to feedback, and make incremental improvements.
