Interview with Josue Mata of Concrete Craft - Kingwood

As part of our ongoing "Getting to Know Your Local Businesses" series, this week we sat down with Josue Mata, owner of Concrete Craft.

We offer several decorative concrete systems and services that add beauty, value and curb appeal to your home or business. 

As a franchise with 45 territories in over 300 cities nationwide, we consider ourselves craftspeople, and we take pride in bringing true artistry to our industry. We offer stamped, resurfaced, stained concrete, concrete restoration for commercial and residential applications. Our great array of systems can transform commercial flooring, patios, driveways, walkways and pool decks. We also offer outdoor living spaces, including kitchens, patio covers, pergolas and more.

Over 2 years ago, I joined the Concrete Craft franchise system, becoming the first franchisee in the Houston area. We operate in two territories, extending from Kingwood to League City and Pearland areas.
 

How did you decide to get involved in this line of work?
Building roads, bridges, and commercial developments, I've been in construction since 1988.
Since 1995, I've worked in the petrochemical, engineering and oil and gas industries.

Tell us a couple things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
We turn ordinary concrete into extraordinary beauty. I'm proud that we don't deliver any project that I wouldn't want in my own home. We have a very large network of industry experts who can handle special, complicated projects. We're not experimenting!

What is your favorite part of running this business?
I like being known as the one of the industry leaders in the area, providing great services and innovative solutions for our customers. 
With no project coming out the same and each project being the right mix of art and technology, I'm so happy when a customer looks at the finished project and says that it's exactly what they wanted.

Who is your ideal customer/client? Who do you serve best?
A homeowner or business owner who appreciates a custom artistic concrete solution is our ideal customer.  We love serving our customers in the Kingwood area!
