Registration for the 4th annual Band on the Run 5K/10K fun run is now open online at The Driven.

"We are proud to announce that Band on the Run certified, sanctioned and chip timed course," said BOTR Chair Rachel Cheatham. "It is a great event for runners of all levels to participate in!

The Kingwood High School marching band will be hosting this fundraiser on Saturday, April 8 at 8 a.m. The fun run begins and ends at Creekwood Middle School, following a measured course through Kingwood's scenic greenbelts.

The students of Kingwood High School Marching Band (KM4B) are an exceptional group of committed musicians dedicated to excellence. Comprised of about 200 students, the band has proudly represented our community with performances at the Rose Bowl Parade, Lincoln Center, and most recently at Pearl Harbor. This year, students will be performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Kingwood Band Boosters, a 501c3 non-profit organization, is seeking sponsors who wish to show their support for this extraordinary band program. "Band Boosters has several sponsorship levels," Cheatham added. "Businesses can choose between the Silver, Gold and Platinum levels and will be recognized at band performances in appreciation for their donations." All those interested in becoming sponsors are encouraged to go to www.KM4B.com for additional information.

The registration cost is $30. Early registrants will receive a Band on the Run commemorative t-shirt. Late registration and walk ups are welcome at $35 per person. Registration is available on line at www.thedriven.net/bandontherun. A direct link can also be found at www.KM4B.com.
