Interview with Tiffany Kovacs of Tiffany's Life Proof Lips - Kingwood

As part of our ongoing "Getting to Know Your Local Businesses" series, this week we sat down with Tiffany Kovacs of Tiffany's Life Proof Lips.

Tell us a bit about your business:  What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?
I'm an Independent Distributor for SeneGence International. Tiffany's Life Proof Lips is what I decided to name my business because their lip color is their premier product and it truly does last all day long, even through meals!  Equally fantastic is SeneGence's eye shadow, foundation and skin care line. I sell it all!

How did you decide to get involved in this line of work?  How did the business get started?
I began selling SeneGence after I purchased several items from a friend.  I was so impressed with the product and knew people would love it as much as I do. I work full time and sell this wonderful line not only for supplemental income, but also because I love cosmetics that deliver.

Tell us a couple things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
I'm very proud that I've hit my sales goal every month that I've been in business, all while working full time and raising two kids.  I would like to believe that my customers would all agree that I'm a prompt, effective communicator.  Communication is so crucial and I pride myself on keeping my customers informed.  In my mind, it's simple.  Be considerate and respectful.

What is your favorite part of running this business?
I love meeting ladies from all backgrounds and helping them select and match colors.  We all want to look and feel beautiful and I get to be a part of that.  The best part is when a skeptical customer is shocked at how well the lip color stays on all day.

Who is your ideal customer/client? Who do you serve best?
My ideal customer is any lady who likes makeup and skin care, prefers one on one service and appreciates honesty and good communication.

Can you tell us something about yourself as the business owner? What is your background?
I grew up in this area and it's where I will always call home. I have two fantastic kids who keep me laughing and make me proud to be their mother. My background is corporate but I've always loved makeup and skin care. Signing up with SeneGence was a no-brainer for me to supplement my income and have fun at the same time!

Are there any special promotions, annual sales, or special events that you'd like to mention?
When I place bulk orders I often offer free shipping or a discount during the month of the customer's birthday. When I have a lot of stock to move I may run a tax-free with free shipping blitz from time to time. Is there any other information you'd like your potential customers/clients to know about your business?
I pride myself in prompt and effective communication. When someone has paid for a product or service, they have an expectation of that product and/or service. I strive to make sure all of my customers are satisfied. I like to always be happy with my purchases so why wouldn't I want the same for my customers? Do unto others.

How do you see your business growing and improving over the next couple of years?
I'd love to recruit new distributors and sell at more vendor events! This is an excellent way to supplement your income and if you love makeup it will come easy for you. If you want to do more than supplement your income, well, the sky is the limit and I'm here to help you get started!
