As part of our ongoing "Getting to Know Your Local Businesses" series, this week we sat down with Elegant Hall.

Tell us a bit about your business: What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?

Elegant Hall was established in 2009. Elegant Hall is a venue to host large event such as Weddings, Quince's, Sweet 16's, Corporate Events, and Parties. Elegant Hall offers all-inclusive packages to provide you with a worry- free day for your event.

How did you decide to get involved in this line of work? How did the business get started?
Quince's are big in our culture; as we planned ours many years ago, we goofed with our parents that it would be great to have a Hall of our own. Well, our father didn't forget and planned to one day help that come true. Once he was able to help with the building, we started to look for the perfect spot. Our location was a great fit, is not too far from the freeway, it's in a quiet area, and there are not very many venues in Humble.

Tell us a couple things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
Our Hall is beautiful and well maintained. All our events are unique in their own way and our clients come for that ability to transform into their theme.

What is your favorite part of running this business?
We enjoy being a part of so many customers' special moments. We always pause and watch the Bride and Groom share their first dance, the Bride/Quinceanera dance with her Father, and of course those what seem to be spur-of-the-moment Surprise Dances.

Who is your ideal customer/client? Who do you serve best?
Ideal customers are the Brides and Quinces. Our venue is set up to host Wedding and Quinces. We are equipped for Reception style seating, and our improvements focus on these types of events.

Can you tell us something about yourself as the business owner? What is your background?
We are two sisters that have come together to build this business. Rocio is a mother of 3, married for 10 years, and has her associate's in accounting. Raquel is a mother of 2, married for 13 years, and has her associate's in business.

Are there any special promotions, annual sales, or special events that you'd like to mention?

We have Open Houses twice a year. Our next open house is October 16 from 1 - 4 p.m. Every quarter we have specials that last 1 month long.

Is there any other information you'd like your potential customers/clients to know about your business?
We are always here to help in anyway. All events are different and we have many years of experience and can guide you with many options for your event.

How do you see your business growing and improving over the next couple of years?
We are always updating to stay with the current trends. We will continue to learn what the Brides and Quinces need from us to help bring their idea to life.
