Graduates of the Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are invited to celebrate its 22nd anniversary at a NICU reunion on Sunday, August 21, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Humble Civic Center.

The annual reunion is hosted by Memorial Hermann Northeast and the Northeast Hospital Foundation. The event will be held in the Civic Center's Special Events Room and will include kid-friendly refreshments served by the Memorial Hermann Northeast Volunteers, as well as a character from the Minions, balloon animals, face painting, safety fingerprinting and a special appearance by Officer McGruff, courtesy of the Humble Police Department.

NICU graduates and their families will be able to reunite with the Lake Houston area's first neonatologist, Medical Director of the Memorial Hermann Northeast NICU Angel Muñoz, M.D.

Dr. Muñoz has been affiliated with Memorial Hermann Northeast since he helped start the Memorial Hermann Northeast Neonatology program in August 1994, and has since cared for more than 4,000 newborns in the Memorial Hermann Northeast NICU.

NICUs combine advanced technology and trained health care professionals to provide specialized care for newborns who need intensive medical attention. The NICU reunion is free for NICU babies and their families but registration is required.

If your child was cared for at Memorial Hermann Northeast's NICU and you would like to attend, please call 713.222.CARE (2273) to register.
