Arbor Terrace Residents at Kingwood Town Center Relive the Glory Days at the 2016 Senior Prom - Kingwood

Recently, Arbor Terrace at Kingwood Town Center residents, their family and friends and student volunteers from Kingwood High School joined in the local prom festivities with their own senior prom hosted at Arbor Terrace.

As the residents, donned in their finest tuxedos, suits and dresses (pinned with corsages and boutonnieres, of course!) entered the black and white-themed elegant affair in the community's dining room, they were welcomed by members of  the Health and Occupational Services Association (HOSA) and Key Club members from Kingwood High School. The students struck up conversations with the residents and even learned some new dance moves from them.

"This is my first prom," said resident Lenny Yazinski, accompanied by his daughter. "I had to quit high school to support my family. So this is something else."

Prom attendees enjoyed a special chicken cordon bleu meal and spiked rum punch (It was prom after all!) and enjoyed lively jazz music by the George Poe Band. (http://www.george-p.com/)

Finally, the residents' votes were counted for the resident Prom King and Queen contest. The reigning royalty at Arbor Terrace for 2016 is Prom King Ron Schmidt and his sweetheart Prom Queen Betty Hardy.
