So Chocolate will participate this year in the Kingwood Civic Club Annual July 4th Parade in Kingwood. Local businesses and nonprofit organizations participate in this event, and historically the event has been very well attended by community members. This year Kingwood’s So Chocolate will join local businesses participating in the parade. “We decided to participate in the 4th of July parade to show our community spirit and support and be more involved," said owner Mike Cox. "We’ll be driving and riding in a beautiful, 2014 Ford Mustang Convertible compliments of Randall Reed Planet Ford in Humble.”

Jay Mincks, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Insperity, is this year’s Grand Marshall, and other local dignitaries will be present as well. The KCC also holds a Children's Fishing Rodeo in the morning before the parade begins.

The Children's Fishing Rodeo will be on Friday, July 4th, from 6 - 7:30 a.m. and is held at the Foster's Mill ponds at the corner of Kingwood Drive & Forest Garden. Children age 15 and younger are invited to bring their fishing gear to the ponds and compete for trophies in different categories. No registration is required.

The parade will be on Friday, July 4th. Parade line-up will begin at 7 a.m., and the parade will start at 10 a.m. The parade will start at the corner of W. Lake Houston Parkway and Sandy Forks and will travel south on W. Lake Houston Parkway and turn Right onto Kingwood Drive and finish at the Kingwood High School parking lot. Any questions regarding the parade may be directed to kingwoodcivicclub@yahoo.com.

The KCC reminds those who attend the parade to please remember to stay out of the street so that the floats may drive safely down the road.

So Chocolate is located at 1542A Kingwood Drive next to Chelsea’s Deli. Mike and Desiree can be reached by phone at 281-460-4500, email at SoChocolateKingwood@gmail.com, or you may visit them on the web at www.SoChocolateKingwood.com.
