After five years of dedicated service, Trish Helmerich, Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce Member Relations Director, is leaving the Chamber. Helmerich is a long-time member and sat on the Board of Directors when she worked as General Manager at The Observer Newspapers. Helmerich was named incoming Ambassador Chair, a seat she gave up when she went to work with the Chamber in 2009. “I loved the Chamber so much I went to work for it,” Helmerich said.

As Member Relations Director, Helmerich was responsible for onboarding new members and coordinating volunteers for signature events. She served as staff liaison for the Ambassador program, Atascocita BizCom and was lead on planning networking events, Chamber 101, Third Tuesday Luncheons and the Lake Houston Business Expo.

Helmerich lives in Spring with her husband and two of her four children. She is taking the next few months to spend time with her family, recharge and embark on a new professional journey. She is not leaving the community and plans to join the Chamber as a member. “I have loved my time here, I love the members and I love the staff. I will continue to be involved as a very well trained volunteer.”

Helmerich’s last day as Member Relations Director is June 12.
