Strikes & Bikes Bowling Tournament and Bike Show is an event benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be held on May 17, 2014 at The Max Bowl Bowling Center, 2390 Wilson Rd. The event host is the San Jacinto River Chapter of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club (SCRC) - who encourages everyone to participate, whether you are a biker, bowler or neither.

“Our goal in holding this event is to help the children of the world who are stricken with diseases like cancer, AIDS, sickle cell disease and other catastrophic illnesses,” says Terry Sebastian, the First Officer of the San Jacinto River Chapter. “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a world leader in the fight against these diseases, and they have made great progress because of the help of people who participate in and donate to events like “Strikes & Bikes.”

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer, and other diseases. Founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas and based in Memphis, Tenn., St. Jude freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world. No family ever pays for treatments not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay. St Jude is financially supported by ALSAC, its fundraising organization, through events such as Strikes & Bikes.

If you are interested in participating by setting up a booth (no cost), or making a monetary, or auction item donation, please contact Sharon “Shay” Harris at 713.582.3111.
