THE MONTESSORI METHOD
The Montessori Method of education, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood. Dr. Montessori’s Method has been time tested, with over 100 years of success in diverse cultures throughout the world.
The vital importance of a child's first three years for his or her development is supported by numerous studies. At Kingwood Montessori, we realize the value of offering a rich and exciting range of new experiences for our toddlers including Language, Math and Practical life. In addition, the students study Music, Spanish and Yoga and then we build on the firm foundations established as the students grow.
Kingwood Montessori's highly trained Montessori certified staff encourage individually-paced exploration. With teachers as guides and being given choices within limits, students build intrinsic motivation as they work toward becoming the leaders of tomorrow. The education model promotes independence and strong social skills which are reinforced within a safe and nurturing environment.
