Swing Fore Life is a charity golf tournament, September 20, 2013, at The Kingwood Country Club. Launched by Journey Church of Kingwood, TX, our goal is to improve the lives of impoverished orphans worldwide and build adoptive families through the catalyst of an exceptional golf tournament.

Despite the awareness of deplorable living conditions for orphans around the globe there is a continued inaction to fight this injustice. It is estimated that there are over 150 million orphans worldwide. These innocent children are abandoned due to many factors including: poverty, war, disease, drugs and alcohol abuse. The increase adversity in their lives fosters little hope for their futures. Simply put, there are not enough caring individuals to counterbalance their need. As a result, more innocent children suffer.

The first annual Swing Fore Life promises a unique experience combining all you would expect from a premier golf tournament with the orphan relief efforts of two amazing organizations: Change30 and ABBA Fund. A 4 man scramble format allows both preformed team and individual participation. Lunch and dinner are provided; cool refreshment will never be out of reach. Throughout the course mini competitions will fuel excitement all afternoon. Prizes will be awarded for a putting contest, longest drive, straightest drive, closest to the pin and hole-in-one winners. Driving range will be included. Swing Fore Life creates an opportunity for our community members to combine a fabulous day on the green while improving the living conditions of orphans.

Tax-exempt, business sponsorships are still available at different levels. Register now: www.journeychurchtx.com/swingforelife. To learn more about the charities please visit: www.change30.org and www.abbafund.org.
