The state’s annual Sales Tax Free Holiday/Tax Free Weekend from state and local sales taxes will begin at 12:01 a.m. Friday, August 9 and end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 11.

The state’s annual Sales Tax Free Holiday/Tax Free Weekend from state and local sales taxes will begin at 12:01 a.m. Friday, August 9 and end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 11. The law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100 from sales and use taxes. Estimates show it could save shoppers about $8.25 on every $100 they spend.
